Kids having ADHD is
heartbreaking. I know -
I've had it my entire life and only recently found some relief at
the age of 39.
If you've nicknamed your son or daughter "ADHD kid" then you obviously need some help with this very prevalent medical and behavioral issue too. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) often show up together as a tag-team, but there are also distinctive types of ADHD and different manners of treating it - based on your child's symptoms. Most children and parents don't have any idea that there is an underlying, often times treatable condition at the root of a child's seeming disinterest in schoolwork, and things he or she "must do". The must do's turn into won't do's and it all goes downhill from there as you probably know. What kind of treatments are available for your ADD / ADHD kid? In my own case I stumbled onto a cure by accident. I started Vipassana meditation as a way to relax at the end of some stressful days in my psychology graduate program. Before I knew it my attention and concentration had improved dramatically. Yes, that's the short and sweet version - and I go into it in-depth more at some of the links you'll find on the left side column. ADHD is usually treatable to some degree. You owe it to yourself and your child to find out what methods work best in your situation... It's quite a situation to find yourself in - inability to concentrate for longer than a few seconds or minutes. I've written a lot of information into the articles you'll find here. Good luck and god bless...
